Kari
Kari is the daughter of our Meg and Chief and represents the balanced style we strive for in our breeding program. She is a petite female, weighing approximately 58–60 pounds, with a lean, athletic American build complemented by the substance and temperament of the English Labrador. Her sire comes from generations of hunting Labradors, while her dam contributes the longer-bodied structure found throughout her maternal line.
As a first-time mother, Kari is attentive and deeply devoted to her puppies. Like many new mothers, she is still learning and occasionally needs a little guidance. Her instinct is to gather every puppy closely beneath her before lying down, so we sometimes step in to help ensure everyone is safely positioned. It has been wonderful watching her confidence and maternal instincts grow each day.
Kari has a sweet, playful personality and enjoys being around both people and other dogs. She is an intelligent, witty girl whose affectionate nature and balanced structure make her a valued part of our breeding program and a wonderful representative of the Labrador Retriever.
Kari has had preliminary x-rays on her hips and elbows and they were determined to be 'normal for age'.
